A Tour That Taught Us So Much

Today we visited VCA Yaletown Animal Hospital downtown, and what started as a simple card delivery quickly turned into an unforgettable experience.

Gavin Myers, one of the veterinarians, personally toured us through the entire clinic. His passion for his work truly shines through — he answered every single question we had and shared so many interesting details about how the clinic runs. We also couldn’t help but love his accent, which made the tour feel even more personal and engaging.

Amélie-Faye Castonguay-Roberts, the hospital manager, joined us as well, guiding us with warmth and ensuring we got to see every corner of the space. The clinic felt welcoming and alive, and meeting the other veterinarians and staff in action really brought it to life.

The clinic itself was immaculate and thoughtfully designed even the animal cubicles have individual air conditioning systems! You can tell every detail is meant to make the animals comfortable and keep the space safe and clean.

Before we left, Gavin and Amélie-Faye invited us to come back for another visit. That kind of generosity and openness made the experience even more special — it reminded us that our visits aren’t just about delivering cards, but about building genuine connections and learning from people who inspire us.

We left feeling educated, inspired, and genuinely happy. Visits like these remind us why our nonprofit exists: to connect with the community, learn, and share appreciation.

A huge thank you to everyone at VCA Yaletown Animal Hospital for the warm welcome and incredible experience!!!!
